Fall Party is just a couple weekends away! Please join us. We have some new activities this year and some popular comebacks from years past.
Date: Nov. 3, 2013
Time: 1 pm to 5 pm
Location: Corner of Delmar & Palo Pinto
Enter your chili and try to take home the pigs! We’ll provide sterno and all the fixin’s. (There is no electricity, so don’t bring a crock pot…) You just need to bring your chili, a tip jar and anything else you’d like to bring to plus-size your chili. Neighbors will vote with their tips to raise money for the neighborhood. Each year, the winner from last year adds another pig to the pack and this year’s winner gets the entire set of pig-themed items to proudly display. If you want to enter, contact Marla Pittman at email@example.com.
In place of last year’s queso contest, we will be having a Salsa-off. (Yes, a salsa-off…) Bring your best salsa and compete head to head with your neighbors for bragging rights. If you’d like to compete, give us a heads-up by contacting Michele Hille at firstname.lastname@example.org
Artisans of the Addition:
Back by popular demand, we will showcase homemade and handmade items made by Belmontonians. You can showcase a hobby, a talent or craft. Last year we had photographers, gardeners, jewelry makers, bakers and more. Like last year, items featured are for show only and may be showcased in the silent auction. If you have something to display, contact Michele Hille at email@example.com
The BACD Silent Auction is nothing to be quiet about! Making a donation is a great way to advertise a business PLUS help with fundraising to support neighborhood projects. The silent auction is our #1 fundraising event of the year. We need help in getting donations to auction off and in bidding on prizes. Please contact Sara Wick if you have any donations or prizes you can contribute. firstname.lastname@example.org
– For the kids, we will have a bounce house, face painting, sidewalk chalk and hot dogs. All children activities are free.
– We will have the wine pull again this year. We have some great bottles for a bargain price. These make great holiday gifts!
– We will also have Neighborhood Bingo again this year. The first to fill their card wins a prize. And this is a gat way to get to know your neighbors.
In short, we have a very fun afternoon of activities, prizes, socializing and fund raising. If it rains, we’ll just get wet. This event is our annual fund raiser, and we use the funds raised to do beautification projects, social events (like the Porch Crawl) and other neighborhood improvement projects. So please bring your dollars!
