This committee provides informational material regarding the Belmont Addition to new residents. Packet includes a history of the neighborhood, street captain contact information, conservation district materials, etc. This committee is headed up by Sara Wick.
This committee plans an annual event for the neighborhood where we can all get together for a fun-filled time and raise some funds for projects in our neighborhood. We are always looking for sponsors and volunteers. Chairperson: Volunteer Needed
This committee began as an effort to obtain sign toppers and continues toward projects designed to improve the aesthetics of our neighborhood and build a sense of unity. Current projects include boundary markers and brass house plaques. If you want to volunteer for the committee or make a donation, contact Melissa Kingston. You can also mail donations (made out to: Belmont Addition CD) to Melissa at 5901 Palo Pinto, and you will receive a receipt.
Yard of the Month
So many people in the Belmont Addition have worked hard to make their yard beautiful and creative. Committee members will meet once monthly to vote on nominated yards. The lucky winner gets to post the Belmont Addition Yard of the Month sign in their yard that month! We need a volunteer to head this committee. Contact us at email@example.com if interested.
Spring Porch Crawl
For 2011, we are going to try our first porch crawl. We hope to have local sponsors provide the drinks and snacks, we need 4-5 porch host volunteers and we are considering doing an art auction with a different piece of art at each porch to raise funds for BACD. Look for more information in a neighborhood newsletter or here. Committee Chairs: Sara Wick, Melissa Kingston, Margaret Apgar & Michelle Hille.
Belmont Ordinance Enforcement
The purpose of this committee is to educate residents and developers about BACD’s zoning requirements, enforce BACD’s ordinance through city staff, the board of adjustment and the district courts as needed, award residents and builders with annual Best New Construction and Best Renovation awards and coordinate with other preservation organizations for common preservation goals. Committee Chairs: Melissa & Philip Kingston. Contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
